Serendipity Restaurant in Oak Orchard, DE.
Serendipity is in effect by which one accidentally discovers something fortunate, especially while looking for something else entirely. A friend of mine told me once that I had to try
this great restaurant up on the Indian River. I wondered Why should I travel ten miles north, when there are so many restaurants right here in Ocean City Resort area? Later, I
overheard a few other friends talking about this restaurant, so I thought I had better find out what the excitement was about.
What I found was truly an unexpected pleasure.
Tucked away, in the little River Community of Oak Orchard off of Route 24 sits the Serendipity Restaurant. It wasnt much to look at from the outside, but when we walked inside we discovered a spacious, uniquely decorated,casual atmosphere restaurant with a spectacular view overlooking the Indian River Bay.
Parasols of all different colors hung from the ceiling and Italian glass lamps were hanging near the scenic windows with water
fountains outside on the deck.

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week, year-round, the menu was extensive and moderately priced. There
was so much on their menu that it was hard to choose. Their style is towards the Italian side, and so much more. The portions are quite generous (if not enormous), and their desserts
are absolutely wonderful!
One of the best breakfasts we had ever eaten.
Breakfast is served until 1:00 p.m. on Sundays,
and 11 a.m. the rest of the week.
The staff was extremely friendly and efficient.
We've returned to this restaurant several times
since and we have never been disappointed.
Everything we have tried has been absolutely
delicious! As their commercial states, If you
cant find anything you like on the menu,
then youre just not hungry!
Serendipity Restaurant is definitely
the best kept secret around!
